About Us

Currie Brothers Ltd is a family run business based in the Orkney Islands. We were established as a limited company in 1987 and were founded by Duncan Currie. The company is now managed on  a day-to-day basis by his daughter and son.

As you might expect in a family business we adopt a friendly and outgoing approach with all of our customers, who are assured of individual attention, no matter the size of the project for which we are engaged.

Our key staff are:

Andrew Currie  – responsible for the project management of our key contracts, ensuring that customer deadlines are met as appropriate.

Susan Learmonth  – responsible for the management of all the key office functions and liaising with customers to ensure all their needs are understood and that our capabilities address their requirements.

Charlie Kemp – our experienced Contracts Manager, who has been with the company for over 14 years. What Charlie does not know about marine construction, is not worth knowing!

Sandy Bremner - Site Agent at Lyness Harbour Redevelopment. Sandy has a degree in Transportation Engineering, has worked on projects for the oil industry as well as civil engineering projects and has a very keen interest in Marine Renewables.
